    About the ATV Project

A core element of the Safer Me Safer You has been the inclusion of women and gender-diverse people with disability. Their input has been an essential component to all elements of the project, in particular, in the formation of the Best Practice Guidelines.

In order to facilitate meaningful participation of women and gender-diverse people with disability, we began the Amplifying the Voices Project. This project, known as the ATV, has centred around consultation and co-design. Between January 2023 and June 2024, we have four main avenues with which we have sought to listen to the voices of people with disability. These are:

    1. the Project Advisory Group (PAG)

    2. two Big Meetings

    3. an online national survey (2023)

    4. in-person community consultations across the country (2023-24).

In order to accurately tell you how we have been listening to and amplifying the voices of the disability community we have written the ATV Report.
